At the age of 13, I learned that me and Tanya Tucker were cousins. Through her, I meet Waylon Jennings and Sonny James. We became more than just general acquaintances. In 1973, Waylon gave me a 1972 Electra Rock & Soul electric guitar. It was a Fender Telecaster copy that still plays extremely well. I still have it today.
I never really considered using my music as a career. I witnessed how hard of a life it can be. Now, at the age of 68, and with my teaching career inching to an end I'm opening a new chapter in my life. Instead of riding off into the sunset, playing checker or building bird houses, I chose to entertain with my music. I specialize in what I grew up with... Outlaw Country and Southern Rock music. From Waylon Jennings to Lynyrd Skynyrd, I play all of the popular songs from the 70s and 80s.
